Women's Health
The doctors at Associated Urological Specialists are experts in treating multiple women’s health issues such as urinary incontinence, overactive bladder, pelvic organ prolapse, and recurrent urinary tract infections. We also can offer treatment options for chronic pelvic pain syndromes like interstitial cystitis.
Female pelvic anatomy can change over time and can be altered by childbirth, c-sections, hysterectomy, and menopause. All of these life events can lead to a weakening of the support structures of the bladder, uterus or rectum. This weakening can result in stress incontinence which is urinary leakage with coughing, sneezing, laughing, lifting, etc. Sometimes, these issues can be helped with conservative measures like pelvic floor exercises but in many cases, surgery is needed and several of our physicians are specialists in pelvic floor reconstruction.
