Adam Elias Hosting October Prostate Cancer Support Group

October 19th, 2026

5:30pm to 6:30pm

One of the ways AUA has helped prostate cancer survivors and their partners have been by hosting a ZERO Prostate Cancer Support Group powered by ZERO Prostate Cancer. This month, Adam Elias, from Veracyte, will be discussing Decipher, a valuable genomic risk stratification tool.

The Decipher Prostate test is a 22-gene expression genomic classifier (GC) that refines risk stratification and guides treatment decisions for patients with localized or advanced prostate cancer. Because traditional clinicopathologic factors (like PSA levels and Gleason scores) cannot always capture how aggressively a tumor will behave, Decipher looks directly at the tumor’s biology to predict disease progression.

The ZERO Prostate Cancer Support Group is open to survivors, new patients, family members, caregivers, and any others who are interested in prostate cancer, treatment options, and post-treatment issues. This month’s topic is an important development in the timelines of prostate cancer identification.

Our meetings are open to any survivors, family members, caregivers, and others interested in prostate cancer. This month’s group will meet at:
