Dr. Aaron Berger Named Chicagoland Chief Medical Officer
We are proud to announce, effective April 1, 2026, Dr. Aaron Berger has been named the Chief Medical Officer for Chicagoland. Dr. Berger has been the CMO for Associated Urological Specialists for years and this elevated role will now include three other major urological affiliates under Urology Alliance – Advanced Urology Associates, and Urologic Specialists of Northwest Indiana and UroPartners.
Dr. Raj Patel, President of Associated Urological Specialists, announced the news earlier today. “Dr. Berger has long been recognized as a respected physician leader, accomplished clinician, and passionate advocate for advancing patient care. Throughout his career, he has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to clinical excellence, innovation, physician engagement, and the development of programs that improve outcomes for the patients and communities we serve.”
As Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Berger will play a critical role in helping guide clinical strategies across Chicagoland. Patel notes, “He will work closely with physicians, APPs, operational leaders, and affiliate leadership teams to advance pathway-driven care, support research and innovation, strengthen physician collaboration, and ensure we continue delivering the highest quality care to our patients.”
Dr. Manoj Rao, President of Urologic Specialists of Northwest Indiana, compliments this fact saying, “Aaron has always shown an interest in providing comprehensive cancer care to our patients and expand research endeavors for our groups. I also appreciate his willingness to help educate doctors.”
Dr. Berger also currently serves as the Director of Clinical Research, and Patel adds, “Dr. Berger’s leadership has already had a significant impact throughout our organization. His dedication to building consensus, fostering collaboration, and maintaining a patient-first focus makes him uniquely qualified for this role as we continue to strengthen and align our Chicagoland platform.
