Jackson Palenick, PA-C and Arpeet Shah, MD Present At 2026 Boston Scientific Conference

Dr. Arpeet Shah and Jack Palenick, PA, presented numerous topics at the Boston Scientific conference in North Carolina this past weekend. Each spoke about the MD/APP collaboration model within (AUS) and then presented talks on BPH treatment pathways, diagnostics, and talk tracks. Over 70 APPs from all across the country attended.
Jack Palenick notes, “We talked a ton about the importance of bladder health prevention.” An important headline from the talks was ‘BPH may be benign, but its not harmless,’ highlighting the importance of bladder health preservation.”
He also notes they “talked a lot about the growing role of APPs when it comes to urological care and how AUS implements pathways and navigation to ensure prompt and consistent care to every patient. In our case we mainly focused on BPH and how the MD/APP collaboration model allows for better patient care.”

Dr. Shah points out, “Training the next generation of APPs is such an important part of advancing urologic care. When APPs are well trained and confident, we can do a better job recognizing and treating conditions like BPH that can have a real impact on a man’s quality of life.”
Both Shah and Palenick really appreciate Boston Scientific for the opportunity to help educate APPs across the country, with Dr. Shah noting they had the opportunity to “highlight the importance of treating BPH—not just the symptoms, but the impact it can have on men’s everyday lives.”
The round table discussions on the importance of APPs in developing urological care and how to be an effective team member were very relevant in the ever-changing healthcare landscape. The discussions were applauded for the importance of cultivating relationships between MDs and APPs.
